| Active Member | Active Membership. An active member shall be a Diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology or the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and shall have presented a paper before the Society acceptable to the Board of Directors, or have served as a program chairman for one of the society’s quarterly meetings, or attended at least four (4) quarterly meetings within a two-year timeframe, as an associate member. An active member shall hold the right to vote on any issue which comes before the membership as provided in these Bylaws and shall be entitled to all the privileges and benefits of the Society including the right to hold office. |
| Associate Member | An associate member shall be one whose professional work is limited to the practice of obstetrics and gynecology. He shall have all the privileges and benefits of the Society except the right to vote or hold office. |
| Resident Member | A junior member shall be one who is enrolled in an approved residency program in obstetrics and gynecology within the greater Kansas City area or surrounding vicinity. He shall have all the privileges and benefits of the Society except the right to vote or hold office. |
| Life Member | A life member shall be one who has been granted such status by the Board of Directors after having served thirty (30) years in the profession, attained the age of sixty-five (65) years, or found to be suffering from a serious illness. Life members shall have all the prerogatives of active membership but shall be exempt from paying dues and from any attendance requirements which are now, or shall be in the future, imposed upon active members. |
| Honorary Member | An honorary member of the Society is one who has had such status conferred upon him by the members of the Society. Such distinction shall be granted to those individuals who, in the judgment of the Society, exemplify the spirit and purposes of the organization. Honorary members shall have such privileges and benefits of the Society as the Board of Directors may confer upon them from time to time by resolution. |
